Finding Your Partner in Rehab

This past month, my partner Jess and I were blessed enough to celebrate 16 years together. Dated through undergraduate degrees, lived long distance for graduate school, and moved multiple times through multiple states and eventually, started a business together. As anyone in a relationship knows, we’ve had our share of highs and lows. But I can safely say, I am absolutely one of the lucky ones to have found a partner who is nothing but supportive, empathetic, and caring as an individual.

Anyone in my circle knows, I would not survive the current dating culture and climate. Please let your imagination run wild with this one with how it would go.

I am certainly blessed to have found someone who meets me where I am at as a person but also challenges me to grow.

Why shouldn’t your physical therapist be any different?

Would you go on a date with someone who was also on a date with 2 to 3 other people?

How about where you were expecting to talk to one person but after 15 minutes they pass you off to someone else and now you’re on a date with a completely different person?

Or maybe they strung you along for multiple dates per week, weeks on end, and never once asked you what YOU were interested in and what your goals were in life?

You need to find the right provider for you and your goals. Your provider should put you first in the relationship. Be knowledgeable and skilled in the tools necessary to get you back to the the activities you enjoy.

At Tundra Performance and Physical Therapy, we prioritize you in the relationship. We individualize and standardize testing protocols and develop programs specific to your symptoms and needs.

Dating is hard. Finding and working with the right physical therapist shouldn’t be.
